Updated Cygwin Portable Repo
I've updated the Cygwin Portable git repo (hosted on BitBucket) and also the Getting the source code page.
Right now, I'm able to generate a portableapps installer (.paf) using the directory structure that I checked in the repo. The Cygwin files are not included by default. Instead, you run the installer and it will download Cygwin's setup.exe installer automatically. So, you have always the latest version.
I need to complete the developer's documentation to explain how it works.
As always, thanks for your interest and support!
Cygwin Portable 0.3 on it's way!
Sorry for the long hiatus.
I finally decided to restart the project from scratch because the version of Cygwin packaged in CygwinPortable was outdated and I wanted to take advantage of the new PortableApps.com Format 3 that was release this month.
I'm glad I did! It's is now much much more simpler to package an application using the new PortableApps.com tools : Installer and AppCompactor.
So, the new release is around the corner, stay tuned!
We're moving in!
Notice : The project is currently being updated (with latest versions of PortableApps & Cygwin) and a new release will be available soon. In the mean time, you can still download the latest released from SourceForge
New home for Cygwin Portable!
Cygwin portable was dormant for a long while. I will resume development on this project in the coming weeks. Stay tunned.
